Dufftown & District Highland Games

Dufftown Highland Games is the best of what Scotland has to offer, a warm and friendly event that showcases traditional highland sports at their best, Tossing the Caber, Throwing the weigh over the bar, Tug-o -War, track and field events are just a few that are competed for on the day. The Highland Dancing event has over 100 dancers of all ages compete on the day. Our 5 Tops Hill Race is regarded as one of the toughest - 14 miles, 5000ft of accents. The massed Pipe-Bands are not to missed with over 200 pipers and drummers marching through the town to the official opening at 13.00. There also many craft stalls, food vendors on the day to make it a truly special day out in Dufftown! There is also the hugely popular overseas race - 1 lap of the track!
