Curious Collective: Exploring Kink Together

Our Curious Collective evenings are designed to provide a welcoming, guided introduction to kink, BDSM, consent, negotiation, and play party culture in a relaxed and community-focused environment. Whether you are completely new, quietly curious, returning to exploration, or already experienced and wanting to support newer folk entering the scene, this evening is about learning, connection, conversation, and low-pressure exploration. Rather than focusing only on discussion and theory, Curious Collective creates opportunities for attendees to safely observe, ask questions, negotiate, and experience different forms of kink and sensation play in a guided and beginner-friendly way. TIME: Thursday 13 August| 6.00pm – 11.00pm (Workshop & guided discussion begins at 7.30pm) VENUE: Casa Kink Dungeon, 4 Engine Avenue, Montague Gardens TICKETS: R120 online at Casa Kink Events and at the door What To Expect The evening begins with arrivals, tours of the venue, and relaxed socialising. On arrival you will receive some optional conversation prompts as well as prompts on how to say no, and how to hear no from others. Our Tour Whores will help newcomers settle in, connect with others, and navigate the space comfortably. At 7.30pm we host a guided discussion covering: • Consent basics • Negotiation skills • Play party etiquette • How to safely settle into the kink scene The evening then shifts into guided experiential exploration where attendees may observe, ask questions, negotiate participation, or try beginner-friendly experiences with experienced Tops and facilitators. Experiences may include: • Ribbon ties and restraints • Sensual play • Impact play • Wax play • Knife play • Needle play Other guided explorations depending on the evening Participation is always optional. Watching, chatting, learning, and simply being present are all equally welcome forms of participation. Community & Support Our Tour Whores, Consent Monitors, and venue crew will be clearly identifiable throughout the evening and are available to: • Answer questions • Help newcomers settle in • Assist with social navigation • Support negotiations and consent culture • Provide emotional support where needed We will also make use of: • Different energy zones for socialising, guided exploration, and play • Colour wristbands to help communicate comfort levels and social preferences • A guided aftercare tea and chat space toward the end of the evening We believe kink should be explored with curiosity, communication, care, and consent. DRINKS & SNACKS Please bring your own drinks and snacks. No food or drinks are available for sale. Ice, glasses, coffee and tea will be provided. BRING Your curiosity, openness, and respect for consent and boundaries. If you would like to participate in play, please bring any toys, safer sex supplies, condoms, and lube you may require. IMPORTANT DETAILS Consent & Safety - Creating a respectful and consent-focused environment is our highest priority. All attendees are expected to engage respectfully and honour boundaries at all times. Age Restriction - This is a strictly 18+ event. Explicit Exposure - This is an adult-only kink event and attendees should expect nudity, BDSM, fetish play, and sexually explicit behaviour within designated play areas. Participation is always optional. Play-Free Social Space - Our social area remains a play-free social zone for those wanting lower exposure to active play, although nudity may still be present. Intoxication - We maintain a zero tolerance policy toward disruptive intoxicated behaviour. Smoking areas are available outside for tobacco and 420. We strongly discourage play under the influence. Safer Space - Casa Kink aims to provide a safer, body-positive and sex-positive environment where people can explore consensual kink without fear of judgement, discrimination, or harassment. Inclusivity - Our events welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, relationship styles, races, cultures, religions, and kink interests. Right of admission is reserved. Consent Framework - We follow the PRICK (Personal Responsibility In Consensual Kink) model. Negotiation is expected before all play and consent may be withdrawn at any time, including during a scene.
