Community Based Fashion Networking Event

An evening with local Manchester fashion creatives. We wanna connect Manchester fashion creatives with each other, and talk about how we can work together to create a more circular fashion economy in the local area. There will be panel chats with local creatives on the subjects of: Personal Style and Self employment. There will also be stations to discuss and generate ideas, and we will making active network connections (ie. not just sticking you in a room but making introductions etc.). We want this to be a space where people can make new local connections and generate ideas on how we can work together to promote local circular/ slow fashion to the everyday fashion consumer. You don’t have to work in fashion industry to join. We want people who have the passion and drive to make a difference. So if you have skills or ideas that could be used to help others in the local fashion scene - and you wanna get involved- please come along ! We will have: A free repair station Live Fashion illustration Sketches Free Downloads of info packs for copyright design infringement Petition/ open letter Signing for legislative action against fast fashion brands VENUE: Band On The Wall 25 Swan Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester, GB M4 5JZ This is a fundraiser event in aid of MASH which is a local organization that works closely with female sex workers to promote sexual health, wellbeing and personal safety, whilst offering choice, support and empowerment to encourage positive life changes.
