About

Doors 7.00 - Members 6.45 ‘Carter Sampson and her band brought the house down, and we expect no less from such a talented group of musicians.. We could have run two nights, such was the demand for this show...’Little Rabbit Barn ‘Fabulous songs which tonight are lifted to an almost anthemic level with the help of her top-quality band’ Americana UK Oklahoma is a hotbed of good music and no-one knows that better than ‘Queen of Oklahoma’ Carter Sampson, who returns to the UK for a full-band tour in April 2027. Carter will be touring to promote her brand new album, scheduled for release on both sides of the Atlantic in early 2027, and will be appearing with her regular touring band. In addition, she’s also announced the release of a special 10th Anniversary Vinyl Edition of her hit album Lucky, previously only available on CD. This will be available for the first time in the UK on this tour. Sampson writes relatable and honest songs about family, love, life and historical characters. She’s released eight albums with her last full-band album, Gold, spending many months on the Americana Music Charts. She tours internationally, and has had much success playing regularly in Europe and the UK: ‘I really love playing in Europe. I joke about it a lot but American audiences are generally loud and don’t listen very well – European audiences are so quiet and kind!’ Carter is also the founder and director of the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls OKC, a non-profit organisation set up in Oklahoma that empowers girls, women and non-binary folks through music education. As she describes it: ‘Most of our campers have no or little musical experience and it is truly amazing what these kids achieve in one week. The amount of self-esteem that comes from such an accomplishment is really what it’s all about.’ ‘Sampson sings from the heart. Nothing is sugar coated. She's as real as her red dirt roots or the red cowboy boots that she proudly wears’ Country Standard Time ‘Sampson deserves all the success that will continue to come her way’ No Depression ‘Heartfelt, sincere, and honest. There’s an inherent happiness that populates a Carter Sampson record and it’s something I’ve truly come to look forward to with each album she’s released’ Americana Highways
