Art on the Land with Megan Dowsett Thursday 10 July, 7pm - 9.30 Explore the rich variety of nature’s offerings through the mindful process of ‘doodling’. Without touching a pencil. Join artist Megan Dowsett to explore the rich variety that Nature offers at this time of year, through the mindful process of ‘doodling’. Use her extensive collection of seed pods, sticks, leaves and cones to create temporary artworks, known as Nature Doodles. Through a range of prompts and activities, we’ll doodle individually, before responding to the surrounding landscape through the creation of a bigger, collaborative piece, discovering the magic that can happen when we shed the need for a perfect outcome and head out together on a creative journey. A visual artist based in Exeter, Megan works with a variety of media, exploring connection with people, place and nature. Nature Doodles is continually evolving, and has formed an important part of her practice for over two years. What a glorious season to revel in the sheer magic of nature! This workshop is one of three Creative Evening workshops which celebrate the long evenings and the beauty of the landscape under the slowly setting sun. The workshop takes place entirely outside, although there is cover for wet weather - please dress appropriately for the time of day and year, including sturdy footwear!
