About

Saturday 21st September 2019 // Doors 19:30 Tickets on sale now £10 students / £12 standard The Glasgow-based 4-piece have been making waves across the nation with their own bewitching brand of “dark post-punk laced with stealth pop hooks” and are the breakthrough Scottish indie band to watch in 2019. With Part 1 of their stunning debut album ‘Infancy' just released, and Part 2 on its way in November via Distiller Records, the band are right on the brink of going stratospheric. On Saturday 21st September Glasgow QMU are giving you the opportunity to see THE NINTH WAVE play in our intimate venue before they blast off to even greater heights. 1st SUPPORTS: DamnDirtyDuke DamnDirtyDuke are a Scottish dark wave/new wave/cold wave duo now misplaced in London starring costume designer/Bondage maker Colette Dryburgh & multi instrumentalist, producer/bondage wearer Detroit Law. The duo came to prominence last year with the release of their 3 singles collection and accompanying videos exploring themes of sci-fi, synthetics, suffering and dystopia, the mechanical heart beat to their sound and aesthetic. 2nd SUPPORTS: Gravelle On the pulse and ones to watch, GRAVELLE are seemingly EVERYWHERE at the moment. Kicking punk and signing names in their unholy book of synthwave. They're arguably the hardest gigging alt duo in Scotland at the moment. Originally from Livingston/Aberdeen, GRAVELLE (pronounced like the dirt) blend a contagious mix of electronics, drum machines and guitars to "capture the chaos and energy of punk with dance grooves.” Over 14s // Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult www.qmunion.org.uk/listings QMU is a registered Scottish Charity | Scottish Charity No. SC001239
