Schola Cantorum of Oxford: A Masterclass with Emma Kirkby

Dame Emma Kirkby, a patron and former member of Schola Cantorum of Oxford, will give a masterclass to members of the choir. World famous for her interpretations of baroque masterpieces, Dame Emma will illuminate the vocal music of composers such as Handel, Bach and Purcell, working with baroque movement and gesture expert Dionysios Kyropoulos. This masterclass is the first in a series of events in honour of the 60th Anniversary of Schola Cantorum of Oxford, the University chamber choir. Founded in 1960 by Lázsló Heltay, SCO has become one of the longest established and best known chamber choirs in the UK.
