About

Dear All, We would like to kindly invite you to the celebration of 101 years of Polish Independence. On 11 November 1918 Poland has regained its independence after 123 years of absence from the political maps. Today, we hope to unite the Polish diaspora to celebrate the past and look into the future. Please join us on 16 November 2019 for the evening of magic, nostalgia and ideals. The celebration will start at 6pm with a wine reception and a Polish Jazz concert with the repertoire of Krzysztof Komeda, a Polish virtuoso and visionary jazz composer, whose 50th death anniversary we commemorate this year. The concert will take place in the Old Hall of Mansfield College and will be followed by the celebratory Formal Hall in the Mansfield’s Old Chapel at 7.30pm. The evening will continue in the secret chambers of the Mad Hatter speakeasy cocktail bar. The event is generously sponsored by Boston Consulting Group. Please note that this is not a BYOB event and the tickets will include wine reception, 3 course formal dinner and a drink at the afterparty. Dress code: Black Tie Optional; gowns not required You can learn more about Polish Independence here: https://niepodlegla.gov.pl/en/about-niepodlegla/polish-roads-to-independence/
