About

Speak No Evil Presents: Nu Jazz - A showcase of the most exciting genre-bending new music in Manchester. Jazz // Hip Hop // Fusion // Beats // Folk // Electronica // Experimental Ask My Bull - A musical chimera that combines the visceral energy of punk, the danceability of drum'n'bass and the intriguing nuance of jazz: Ask My Bull is delightfully hyperactive and cinematically epic. Morpher - Born in Leeds, fusing acoustic instruments with electronic effects, they blend their traditional Jazz upbringing with hints of Drum and Bass, HipHop and ambient electronic music. With influences from the current London Jazz, LA beat makers and underground New York electronic scenes, they successfully forge a mix of Jazz, post-punk and live electronica. freese trio are a triphop electronica grunge band whose compositions explore inner demons and difficult truths; through twisted lyricism and layered sounds they create a dark beauty. Audiences are taken on a journey of self-reflection through darkness, and back out into the light, creating a mesmerising trance and encouraging the release of suppressed emotions. Their combination of hypnotic drum patterns, bold sub-bass riffs, dense eerie harmony and daring yet intricate vocals is what gives them their distinct sound. Trampette - Having each studied jazz, they decided to form the band in order to explore their love of groove music, inspired by artists such as Yussef Kamaal, Makaya McCraven, and Herbie Hancock. They give high-energy performances designed to get people dancing, and recently supported Alfa Mist at Hare and Hounds.
