TSAF Orchestra - Concert of Studio Ghibli Film Music

The TSAF Orchestra warmly invites you to attend its latest concert, where they will play selections of music from several Studio Ghibli films, including 'Howl's Moving Castle', 'Princess Mononoke' and 'Spirited Away'. The music, composed by Joe Hisaishi, shows a brief glimpse into the musical world of the fantastic anime films - we hope this concert will inspire you to listen to more, or enjoy the films. The TSAF Orchestra is a recent creation of Lucia Svecova, after its première's success during the 2019 Turl Street Arts Festival, where it played during the opening ceremony. It is dedicated to playing unconventional music, which would not necessarily be in most groups' repertoire, and seeks to bring something new to Oxford's buzzing music scene. It takes members from across the city and university, and welcomes any keen musicians who want to get involved in the project. The concert will be in the Main Hall of Jesus College, Oxford, at 19:30 on the 9th of November 2019. We hope to see you there!
