Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show - Launch Party

WELCOME TO THE 1920s - EDINBURGH CHARITY FASHION SHOW IS BACK! To kickstart our fundraising for the year, we’re getting the celebrations started with a stellar lineup of Scotland’s finest at La Belle Angele on Tuesday 8th of October. LINEUP: Michael Hajiantonis - Our headliner is an eclectic collector of all kinds of groovy, soulful and uplifting tunes (as well as some more belting ones), he's been a regular on the Edinburgh student scene for the last 4 years. He ran his own immensely successful night Pleasuredome for 3 of those years, and has graced Cowgate and beyond with his funky fresh repertoire. Bassment - Fresh from opening for Mungo’s Hi-Fi and Hometown for the second time this year, not to mention having worked with household names such as Asha Soundsystem, NOU is the brains and brilliance behind BASSMENT: one of Scotland’s most exciting new club nights. Bringing us her finest blend of dancehall and jungle, we’re bringing her down from the depths of St. Andrews for her Edinburgh debut. Beatroots - DJ Spudcannon & Iced Gem will start you off with some sweet vibrations from distant nations, playing tunes that may cause hip gyrations, emotional elations and perhaps physical relations. ECFS is incredibly excited to work with two fabulous charities this year, both supporting cancer patients across the UK: Macmillan Cancer Support - The nationwide charity provides a range of service to support those affected by cancer, where they reached a massive 1.9 million people across the UK in 2018. Their services include providing emotional support to those with cancer as well as to their loved ones and providing accessible and concise information about the disease itself. Macmillan ensure that cancer is not all-consuming and that there is support available across all aspects of life. & ItsGoodToGive - Working across Scotland, ItsGoodToGive! Supports young people who are affected by cancer to face it with capability instead of caution. The charity offers practical, physical and emotional support including overnight packs, children’s toys and adventure escapes at a state-of-the-art retreat centre.
