À propos

Date: Wednesday 30th September Time: 18:30-20:00 Location: Pocket Cafe, Liverpool Price: £15 - includes a drink OPEN TO EVERYONE This session is the second in a series of three based on Worry. You may not think of yourself as a "worrier" . Perhaps worry does not feel constant or obvious, or you notice it more through what you do than through how you feel. It can affect anyone, especially when something feels uncertain, important or outside our control. When we feel worried, it can be tempting to avoid situations, put things off, seek reassurance, check and double-check, or try to distract ourselves from uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. These responses can bring short-term relief but often keep the cycle of worry going. In this session, rooted in Cognitive Behavioural approaches, we’ll explore how our behaviours can unintentionally maintain worry, and what we can do differently. You'll learn to spot your own worry patterns, understand the behaviours that keep them going, and experiment with new ways of responding. You'll leave with practical strategies you can use in everyday situations, helping you feel less driven by worry and more able to choose how you respond to it. This session is part of a series. The sessions are designed in a way that they can be attended as a stand alone events, though we advise that you may find it more beneficial to attend the complete series to get a more comprehensive understanding of Worry, increased confidence to navigate it effectively and compassionately, and richer opportunities for experiential learning of skills to take away and use in your day-to-day life. The third event will be on Wednesday 28th October so be sure to save the date.. About HeartSpace We're Nihad & Lucy - best friends and qualified Clinical Psychologists. Day to day, we work in the NHS, supporting people through a wide range of psychological difficulties. But alongside this, our mission is to create relaxed, welcoming spaces where psychology and mental wellbeing feel accessible, practical, grounded in meaningful connection, and relevant to everyone - not just something we turn to when were struggling or in crisis... And so; HeartSpace! We create spaces that feel different from traditional mental health support; spaces where you can come as you are, learn something useful, have a laugh, pause and breathe, meet likeminded people, and perhaps leave feeling a little lighter. Everything we offer is rooted in evidence-based psychological approaches, but we bring these ideas to life in a way that feels relaxed, non-clinical, engaging and easy to take into everyday life. We're so glad you're here! *Ticket includes cost of a standard drink (tea, coffee, soft drinks), with the exception of alcoholic drinks, smoothies, and milkshakes, which will be available for upgrade on the day.
