Since the 2017 release of their debut album *Me.Ow* on Dirty Water Records, THE DARTS have been making waves worldwide. With two albums, three 7-inch EPs, and a 10-inch EP released in under two years, the band has firmly established itself as one of the most active all-female groups on the international stage. 2018 was an exceptional year. Between tours, record releases, TV appearances, interviews, reviews, live videos, and photo shoots, they were firing on all cylinders. Their European tour was a massive success, featuring appearances at major festivals such as Sjock Fest (BE), Roots and Roses Fest (BE), Down At The Nightclub Fest (NL), Relache (FR), and Munster Looney Fest (ES)—culminating in a US tour supporting THE DAMNED to close out the year! With the March 2019 release of their second album, *I Like You But Not Like That*, on Alternative Tentacles Records, THE DARTS took things to the next level. They played major US festivals like Punk Rock Bowling and ramped up their touring schedule across both the US and Europe. Their fanbase continued to grow as they kept up their momentum, ultimately being named the top-selling artist of 2019 for Alternative Tentacles Records. Like everyone else, our hyperactive rockers saw their momentum halted by the pandemic. Confined to her studio, Nicole began writing new songs. The first three were recorded in 2020 for the *Love Tsunami* EP—a release created specifically for the 2022 tour to mark the return to reality! "It feels so good..." That was the spirit of the 2022 *Love Tsunami* Tour. The thrill was back, and the audience was there to share it. Live shows followed in quick succession: appearances on VOX Live Sessions and KEXP (Seattle), tours across the US and Europe, and more. New studio sessions were organized to record the third album, *Snake Oil*. The record was released on March 17, 2023, accompanied by over a hundred shows and a 12-week tour—including 10 weeks across Europe, the UK, and Scandinavia. Garnering international press coverage, the release of the *Boomerang* album exceeded all expectations. 2024 proved just as intense as the previous year, featuring a 16-week international tour. Over two consecutive years (2022–2024), Nicole Laurenne and her band performed 200 shows across Europe—a remarkable feat for an international act. This achievement established them as the most active international band on the scene during that period. 2025 marks the return of Rikki Styxx, the band's original drummer who played on their first three albums. With Lindsay Scarey joining on bass and Rebbecca Davidson officially stepping in as guitarist, Nicole Laurenne has revitalized the group, allowing them to reinvent themselves once again and inject fresh momentum into THE DARTS' career. Supported by the "best-of" compilation *Nightmare Queens*, the release invites us to revisit the band's catalog and discover the spirit that has driven this prolific "vampire punk" outfit from the start. It is a Psychedelic Garage Punk journey—a genre they have truly mastered—featuring a distinctive sound and songwriting style that elevate their albums to the same level as their incendiary live performances. "Halloween Love Songs," the sixth album set for release in March 2026, is further proof of this. Recorded in Los Angeles by Mark Rain during a break between tours in 2025, the band reinvents itself once again, delivering 13 original tracks that sweep us away to a parallel world where Nicole explains that, out on the road, every day is Halloween.
