Don't know about you, but for me Friday and especially Friday night are associated with fun and parties 🎉. And usually, this is accompanied by nice drinks🍻
So come join us on Friday and learn how to make cherry Nalyvka, a traditional Ukrainian drink 🍒. We'll combine a fun process of making your own beverage with Ukrainian culture and traditions.
In Ukraine, nalyvka has been known since the era of Kyivan Rus', and in those times, hardly any celebration took place without this sweet beverage. Every September, on the autumn feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the people of Kyivan Rus would go out to gather rowan berries. It was believed that on this day, the berries lost their bitterness; instead, following the first frosts, they became sweet and highly beneficial.
