Nick Helm is a BAFTA-nominated, British Comedy Award-winning comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster, known for his hilarious one liners, poems, songs and stories.
He is perhaps best known for his starring roll in BBC Three’s acclaimed comedy Uncle, for which he received a Royal Television Society Award nomination for Best Comedy Performance. His television credits also include Sky’s The Reluctant Landlord, Channel 4’s Loaded, Sky One’s Intelligence and BBC One Wales’ Tourist Trap. He has made regular appearances on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, as well as appearing on Celebrity Mastermind and The Crystal Maze. He also hosted BBC Three’s Nick Helm’s Heavy Entertainment and presented Dave’s food travelogue Eat Your Heart Out with Nick Helm.
Nick’s film work includes Giddy Stratospheres, Venice at Dawn and Love Spreads. He directed, co-wrote and starred in the BBC short film Elephant, which was nominated for a BAFTA for Best British Short Film and selected for the BFI London Film Festival.
A highly acclaimed live performer, Nick has toured extensively throughout the UK and performed numerous Edinburgh Festival runs. His latest stand-up show, No One Gets Out Alive, follows a string of critically acclaimed tours.
Nick is also an accomplished musician, with several comedy and music albums to his name. His latest album, Down n’ Dirty, was released in August 2026.
