AN INTIMATE 30-SEATED CONCERT WITH AWARD-WINNING 18 YEAR OLD PIANIST MAXIMILIAN HÖFER
Maximilian Höfer is an 18-year-old German pianist who has been playing the piano since the age of seven. From an early age, he received first prizes at the regional, state, and national levels of the German youth music competition Jugend musiziert. He has performed at venues including the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Ehrbar Hall in Vienna, and numerous concert halls throughout Germany.
Maximilian is currently spending a year abroad in England, where he studies regularly with Professor Christopher Elton, Emeritus Head of the Keyboard Department at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He is also a member of the Brighton and East Sussex Youth Orchestra, with which he has performed at the Brighton Dome.
In this recital, Maximilian presents a varied programme featuring works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, and Messiaen. The concert concludes with the jazz standard Lady Bird, reflecting his enthusiasm for jazz alongside his classical training.
