GOD DROPPED ACID – NOVEMBER EDITION 🚀 Something special is coming to Cambridge... For our November edition, we have the amazing Roo-D headlining at God Dropped Acid. Roo-D is a UK-based DJ and music producer, originally hailing from Portugal, known for delivering dynamic, high-energy sets that captivate dancefloors. His journey into music began at just six years old, teaching himself to play keyboards by ear before diving into music theory at thirteen—a foundation that continues to shape his unique sound. A dedicated student of the craft, Roo-D studied at Edinburgh’s Academy of Sound Production, completing their flagship music production course as well as an intensive program dedicated to the art and science of synthesizers. This technical knowledge, combined with his natural musicality, fuels both his intricate productions and his powerful DJ performances. Since his breakthrough debut at the 2019 Lindisfarne Music Festival, Roo-D has lit up stages at some of Edinburgh’s most eclectic venues, including Sketchy Beats, The Mash House, and The Bongo Club. His reputation soon spread beyond Scotland, leading to performances at celebrated UK events such as Elemental, Illusiom, Faerie Pirates, TynePsyde, Shanti, and Psy Kingdom. He also holds a residency with the legendary Celtic Tribe, further cementing his status in the psychedelic scene. When not deep in the studio crafting his next sonic journey, Roo-D thrives behind the decks, blending styles like Night Full-On, Twilight, Night Psy, Dark Psy, and Forest into hypnotic, immersive experiences. With a love for pushing boundaries and connecting people through music, Roo-D continues to evolve, inspire, and set dance floors alight wherever he goes. We're super excited to also have PsyCartel in a back-to-back with our one-and-only Alexstatic to close the evening. Luke Gendall, also know as PsyCartel is a Psytrance DJ signed to UK-based Psychedelic & Goa Trance label Phantasm Records. He is also co promoter of Neurotrition which in 2025 celebrated its 10th anniversary. He has been smashing dance floors nationwide with some of the UK biggest Psytrance artists such as Eat Static, Scorb, Lucas, Dirty Saffi, Chris Rich, M-Theory and many more. Known for his versatility and high energy sets which take listerners on a psychedelic journey to another realm. He plays anything from trancey progressive sets to thumping night time sets ladden with groovy driving basslines guaranteed to keep the dance floor pumping till the early hours. He is resident at Neurotrition and can regularly be found playing at Celtic Tribe, Spicey Mandala, Spellbound and many other UK events and festivals.
