Film Screening / Rave on For The Avon Film

As a part of the This Must Be The Place takeover event at Bedruthan Steps Campsite, we are thrilled to be showing a free screening of the joyful protest film Rave On For The Avon. This is a critically acclaimed film (4 out of 5 stars, The Guardian) celebrating the connection with nature, outdoor swimming and campaigning to eradicate water pollution in the South West. This will be an outdoor screening under our stretch tent that overlooks Bedruthan Steps and Atlantic Ocean on Friday 25 July, unless the weather changes things. In this event, our good friends at the Bedruthan Hotel have kindly agreed to screen the film inside the hotel instead. Please arrive by 20:45 for a 21:00 start to the film and give yourself extra time to park. We will have the fully licensed bar and food available from Stacks by the Sea (or alternative at the hotel), so please come along earlier for a drink and food before you watch the film (servings from 5pm-8.30pm). At the main event the next day, Director Charlotte Sawyer and Environmental Scientist and campaigner Eva Perrin, will be discussing the film in depth, exploring themes of community and the power of positive collective activism and of course taking any questions from the audience at the live Q&A. Important Information In the event that the weather doesn't play ball, we have agreed with Bedruthan Hotel just a (5 mins drive from the campsite) to host in one of their venues at the hotel. Please check your emails and socials before the event to be informed of the final location and how to get there. Directions to Bedruthan Steps Campsite Perfectly situated between Padstow and Newquay on the B3276 coast road. From Mawgan Porth, take the B3276 road towards Padstow. Keep going until you pass the National Trust turning for Carnewas. Our entrance is in the next field on the left-hand side of the road. The signs for the Bedruthan Steps Campsite are easily seen from there. The site is manned 24hrs, and you will be shown by our reception team where to park your car.
