Blending acoustic and electric guitar with banjo, accordion, bass, drums, and sometimes mandolin, they write energetic, joyful protest music. Rain McMey (they/them) is an angry, queer, hippie, making music for other angry, queer, hippies. Where an adolescence steeped in the punk ethos meets a taste for Beatlesque 60s Pop, Rain delivers unhinged political ramblings that your nan could sing along to.
