Black Nails

The Black Nails bring their slow-burning, reverb-soaked sound to The Commons in Muizenberg for an intimate evening of original music. Damian Le Sar will perform a short solo set before the full band takes the stage for two sets that move between prom-night ballads and louder, driving passages. The Black Nails are Damian Le Sar (guitar, vocals), Tal Bruce (drums), Janco Yspeert (bass), and Gareth Dawson (guitar). The music drifts between surf-tinged guitars, slow dances, and shadowy rock ’n’ roll. Tremolo lines dissolving into fuzzed-reverb while voices hover somewhere between melody and atmosphere. Set against the small bar-room setting of The Commons, the night leans into closeness and texture: songs that stretch, swell, and settle, moving easily between quiet intimacy and the momentum of the full band.’
