After.shwop at the New Art Exchange

After.shwop is a Nottingham based clothes swapping event, here to provide you with a sustainable, fun way to refresh your wardrobe. We aim to help reduce the overconsumption of fast fashion, give clothes a new life and bring like-minded people together! On Friday 13th November 2026, After.shwop will be coming to the New Art Exchange! If you have clothes that are waiting to be cleared out, and fancy swapping them for new pieces, bring yourself down with your donation and see what you can find! HOW IT WORKS: -You must bring a bag of clothing donations and your ticket to enter. 🎟 -The maximum donation size we accept is one large reusable “bag for life” (approx 45cm x 37cm). Smaller bags are absolutely fine - but please note; the bag you bring is the amount you can take home with you. ♻️ - Please arrive at 7pm to drop off your donations. Once your items are checked in, we’ll return your reusable bag for you to use during the swap. 👜 -After dropping off your donations, grab a refreshment from the bar and explore the galleries and stall holders, before returning to start swapping at 8pm. 🥂 -You can then proceed to browse and fill your bag with anything you like! 👚 ‼️IMPORTANT INFO BEFORE YOU DONATE: -Please only bring items you are completely happy to part with. Once donations have been handed over, we cannot guarantee they will still be available if you change your mind. -While we hope everyone finds pieces they love, we cannot guarantee: • You’ll leave with the same number of items you brought in • You’ll find items of equal monetary value -There is NO buying or selling involved. You will not pay for any items you take home nor will you receive payment for items you donate. -The aim of the swap is to refresh your wardrobe sustainably, give your old clothes a new life and have fun discovering something new! ✅WHAT TO BRING: Bring NO MORE than one large bag for life (approx 45cm x 37cm) containing: • Dresses/jumpsuits/playsuits • Jeans • Jackets/coats • Tops/t-shirts • Hoodies/jumpers • Trousers/skirts • Gym wear • Hats • Bags ‼️We'll be accepting both menswear and womenswear at this event, although please bear in mind that the menswear selection may be smaller. 👔Please make sure all clothing is clean and ready to hang (buttoned/zipped where needed.) ❌WHAT NOT TO BRING: • Children's clothing • Pyjamas • jewellery • Shoes • Stained clothing • Faulty or damaged clothing • Underwear or swimwear Please be mindful and respectful of other swappers and our volunteers throughout the event. We kindly ask that you only take items you genuinely love and plan to wear, so everyone has a chance to find something special. 💛 See you there!
