Speak Easy Showpiece General Election Debate

Join us for Speak Easy's first ever 1v1 Friday debate! Featuring a representative from both Labour and the Conservatives, our two speakers Robert Halfon and Ruth Jones MP will go head to head, discussing the outcome and next steps after the 2024 General Election. Unlike other societies, we ensure that audience members have ample opportunity to ask questions and give short floor speeches (plus, there's a prize for the best audience contribution). So do come along to this exciting event at the Bateman Lecture Theatre (in the Business School), and watch our two prominent speakers do battle. After the debate there will be our usual trip to the pub, hopefully with our two speakers, so you can continue the debate and continue to enjoy everything that Freshers' week has to offer.
