The aim of Tamil society is to celebrate Tamil language and culture. Tamil is one of the oldest surviving classical languages that’s still in use by >70 million people, spoken in many countries. This society will try to foster a sense of community and home for Leeds University students via different events such as club nights, movie nights and cultural events for festivals like Pongal or Puthandu.
