Winchester Cultural Network Group - November

The South Downs Social

Winchester

About

The Winchester Cultural Network Group is an opportunity for cultural and creative organisations and practitioners working across the Winchester district to come together to discuss common themes and challenges in an informal setting. The network provides a platform for information sharing, collaborative working, idea development, etc. The (postponed) November 2023 event is kindly being hosted by The South Downs Social (Kings Walk, SO23 8AF). The South Downs Social is a bike café, event space and cycling boutique in the heart of Winchester. A warm, welcoming space with superb, locally-roasted coffee from Winchester Coffee Roasters, Belgian hot chocolate, delicious, freshly cooked food, great bike racing on the big screen, interesting talks, events and screenings. A space filled with gorgeous bike art and crammed with things to look at. Come along at 6pm on Wednesday 15th November, grab a drink and join other creatively-minded people for stimulating conversations. Please do explore the space and enjoy the fabulous art on display! We're thrilled to be able to offer you the opportunity to explore the newly renovated upstairs space at South Downs Social, incorporating seating, artist studios and a hireable workshop / meeting space. Neil Wyatt will be on hand to tell us more about the space, the possibilities and vision! Please note there is no parking on site so please make use of the city centre car parks and walk across to the venue: https://www.winchester.gov.uk/parking/parking-and-car-parks The Social was created by The Handmade Cyclist - an independent cycling brand that designs art, apparel, ceramics and gifts. You can explore their range in-store at the Social, along with a unique selection of cycling lifestyle goods from other indie brands. Find out more: https://thehandmadecyclist.com/ Anyone with an interest in arts and culture is welcome to join the networking events. Those working professionally in the sector and hobbyists are equally welcome. Likewise we welcome people from all across the district, not just those in the city centre. The events are organised by Winchester City Council, in partnership with the district's Cultural sector. We look forward to welcoming you! A big thanks to the The South Downs Social for supporting this event.
