Welcome Week Hike - Okehampton Circular!

Join OODS for our first hike of the year! Come and enjoy the beauties of Dartmoor with a fun and enjoyable hike around Okehampton. We are welcome to all abilities, come along to get to know our committee and meet other members. Our Welcome Week walks are ALL completely free! It is STRONGLY advised to wear SUITABLE FOOTWEAR. The Basics: - A public transport walk - Attendees pay for their own transport. - 8.45 miles / 13.5 kilometres - Walk Spiciness Rating: Moderate The Timings: Meet committee at Exeter St David's Train Station at 09:30 to catch the 09:39 train to Okehampton. Please buy an off-peak return train ticket to Okehampton. We will be back in Exeter no later than 18:30. What to bring: You MUST wear suitable footwear and bring weather appropriate clothing (Waterproofs, hats, sun cream, etc.). OODS reserves the right to reject attendees wearing unsafe footwear/clothing. Please bring a lunch and water, as well as snacks. Emergency Contact/Illnesses: If you have any medical conditions incl. severe allergies please let our president Max know, and bring any medication which you may need. In case of emergencies during the walk, Max's number is 07957 146191. Please ONLY use in an emergency. Returns policy: If you are unable to attend the walk please contact the society no later than Saturday 14th September. If you try to cancel your ticket after this point we cannot guarantee you a refund.
