New Years Eve at The Foundry Torquay 2022, hosted by Hold It Down & Fokus We're back in Torquay once again for another end of year blowout in The Foundry! After celebrating the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 with Metrik, Halogenix and Pola & Bryson last year, we return with an even bigger lineup to ensure your entry to 2023 is as joyous as it can be! Delivering some of the best in drum and bass on the night are... CULTURE SHOCK James Pountney aka Culture Shock has gone from the passing of an unmarked demo, to arguably the drum & bass scene’s most ground-breaking producer. Having released two highly praised albums in the past four years, his music finds itself as the focal point of a huge swathe of DJs sets. Collaborations with artists including Sub Focus and Dimension stand with huge solo tracks like 'Bunker' and 'Renaissance' in painting a very bright picture of this highly talented DJ and producer. JAKES Joining Culture Shock on the night is MC Jakes, one of DnB's most recognisable MCs. Having performed for Fokus previously in Exeter with Critical Sound, we know exactly how good this man is on the mic. We cannot wait to welcome him back to Devon on one of our shows. AC13 Undoubtedly one of the fastest rising stars in recent years, AC13 is a name that has sat on the lips of the drum and bass community consistently for the past two years. Releases on labels as diverse as Hospital, RAM, Playaz, Souped Up and CruCast highlight why this trailblazer has been selling out shows across the UK, and tours in New Zealand and Canada. The massive track 'Take Me Down' and his sublime remix of 'Change Your Mind' form the cream of a rapidly-developing catalogue of releases. WHINEY One of the most recognisable faces on Hospital Records, Whiney's versatility as a DJ and producer form the backbone of an incredibly impressive musical career thus far. Having graduated from Hospital's sister-label Med School, he has gone on to release pioneering records including 'Buss The Red' with P Money and 'Flashlight' with Inja. Whiney’s compositions are also included in diverse sync projects with BT Sports and computer games like Need For Speed, Forza Horizon, and GRIP. SUPPORT Bringing the vibes across the rest of the night are Fokus frontman Morgs, residents Hush and Memo, and a takeover from Devon record label SWR and their residents Lightyear and Chakhan. Jolla will join AC13 and Whiney on the night, bringing with him a wealth of experience as an MC across the South West.
