The Wizard of Oz: the Adult Pantomime

LUU Pantomime Society is excited to present “The Wizard of Oz” from the 15-17th December 2022 in the Riley Smith Theatre. Doors from 7pm, performance starts at 7.30pm. Our show begins with Dorothy getting blackout drunk at Fruity with her friends Scarlet, Tim and Leon. Facing a mighty hangover, Glinda the Good Fairy transports Dorothy to Oz and sends her on a quest down the Yellow Brick Ozley Road to find her dignity again. Will Dorothy escape the wrath of the Karen-esque pantomime villain? Will Scarlet, Tim and Leon find their brain, their heart and their courage? Will Wanda the Wizard send Dorothy back to Leeds again with her dignity intact? This ‘18+’ retelling of “The Wizard of Oz” gives the traditional British pantomime a new spin. With songs from The Spice Girls, Britney Spears, The Proclaimers and Salt-N-Pepa; it’s sure to be a hit. General Admission: £9 Student Tickets: £7.50 Groups of 10: £5 each
