St Andrews Africa Summit 2023

St Andrews Africa Summit 2023 will be the 9th annual Summit. This year’s theme is “Escaping Exploitation: Navigating the Resource Curse”, a vital topic discussing Africa's resistance to this paradox, from nature and wildlife conservation to developing and diversifying into new industries, and the effect of global environmental issues, financial crashes, and political tensions on creating permanent solutions. This year's speakers will include Dr Stacy Hope (Chairman of the Fair Cobalt Alliance and PhD Social Anthropologist in Sustainability and Gender), Femi Royal (Agribusiness Expert, and Board Member of Myfarmbase Africa) and Dr Ife Okafor-Yarwood (University of St Andrews Geography and Sustainable Development Professor and Lead Researcher of the Gulf of Guinea Maritime Insecurity team).
