Friday 17th March Forum Exploration Lab 1 (not 2) 5:30pm- 7pm Speaker event and Q&A by Daniel Orton. This will improve your commercial awareness and give you the opportunity to ask questions you might have! Daniel is an Exeter alumnus who is now a senior video journalist at The Wall Street Journal. He was once the station manager of XTV! With a wealth of experience, including in reporting, scripting and editing, Daniel will be talking about his tips for entering the industry and the valuable advice he has. For anyone interested in the creative industries, this is an excellent opportunity to improve your industry awareness! More information about Daniel: He produces short-form breaking-news videos for the Journal’s Twitter page as well as longer videos for other platforms on a wide range of subjects, ranging from the U.K royal family’s finances to the cost of tackling climate change. Before joining the Journal, Daniel was video news editor at Newsweek and previous to this he was video editor at the London Evening Standard. He begun his career at Bauer Media as a video producer.
