Semi-Detached is back for her second year… Our first birthday was large and noisy, as usual, delivering two of the best sets we’ve heard from headliner Wookie and up-and-comer Badger. We’re proud to have hosted an abundance of big names from the UKG scene in our first full year, but for the next one, we’re moving out of the garage and into the semi-detached house…. ———————— James Haskell ———————— James Haskell is one of the best known rugby players and sportsmen in the UK, having capped 77 times for his country. Since his well-earned retirement from sport began in 2019, Haskell has focussed on presenting, podcasting and mixing. Haskell has transitioned fully from the world of rugby, becoming a best-selling author and award-winning podcaster alongside his passion for music. His productions and mixing skills have improved at an alarming rate, demonstrated by releases on Toolroom Trax and Defected Records. James has performed in Ibiza Rocks and Ministry of Sound, and our humble Bullingdon Bar for his first ever live booking many years ago… Today, Haskell’s stature may be the only familiar feature to those that knew his rugby days… In October, Semi-Detached welcomes James Haskell, the talented producer and disc jockey. ——————— Oscar Alison ———————— One of Oxford’s own, Oscar Allison is a close friend of Semi-Detached and one of the most skilled house and tech DJs we have had the pleasure to witness. Oscar has held several global residencies, including at world-renowned Attica in Singapore and XOYO in London. As homegrown talent, Oscar has toured extensively in South East Asia, the UK, and was once a long-term resident at Oxford’s very own ‘Purple Turtle’.
