Rideout's Cancer Kickback

The Electric Banana (Behind The Loft)

About

A musical extravaganza that shall never be repeated: in aid of Macmillan Cancer support. Cancer the dreaded word seems to creep, smash or linger around most of our lives at some point or another, whether directly or indirect and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. So in answer to this a melting pot of people working within the industry are supporting The Rideout blues band in their quest to raise some money and awareness for the work that Macmillan does. Split into two sessions, we shall be running this event all day and night, Featuring performances from Evening session : 19:00 - 5am ----------------------------------- Sons of Liberty - Hard Rock. The Sons are live favourites, performing their blistering live shows regularly at venues and festivals across the UK and in Europe. They are on many peoples 'ones to watch' lists and have been booked for some great festivals and shows such as Giants of Rock, Planet Rockstock, Planet Rock Winter's End, Rock and Blues Custom Show, Rockin The Bowl, SOS, Cambridge Rock Festival, WinterStorm, Firestorm MCR, Cornwall Rocks, HRH Festival, HRH NWOCR, HRH CROWS, Bully on Rocks and Raismes Fest in France. The band have been on tour with both FM and Grand Slam and will be touring with US Southern Rockers, Preacher Stone in 2023. ----------------------------- Dirt Road Band - All Star Cast - The Dirt Road Blues Band is the brainchild of guitar legend Steve Walwyn, mainly known as the longest serving guitar player in Dr Feelgood (32yrs). During this time he amassed a massive reputation as a bona fide blues hero in the UK, Europe and beyond. He says "I'd always liked the idea of the power trio - stripping everything back to the basics: guitar, bass & drums. To help him in this he as recruited the services of drummer Ted Duggan, professional since the 60's including stints with Badfinger and techno giants Banco de Gaia. "I'd worked with Ted before" Steve says, "I knew he would fit this gig perfectly" ...he certainly does. Bass player Horace Panter is better known as a founding member of The Specials. Horace has "groove" printed on his DNA, holding it down comes as second nature. This then is Steve's dream team rhythm section that swings as hard as it rocks. "We're starting to develop that musical telepathy that makes a band more than the sum of its' parts. It's a thrilling thing and keeps the blues alive". See you down the dirt road .... Ride out blues band & the allstars. + more to be added, Day time session - More acts being added The Tanoys Black water redemption The Blue horizon Eddie Mole Band Many Many more.
