About

In this talk, we’ll delve into Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), a condition that often goes overlooked and can impact any athlete of any calibre. Learn the key signs to look out for and what you can do to prevent developing RED-S. About Simone: Simone graduated with a first-class, five-year MSci in Physiology, Sports Science and Nutrition from the University of Glasgow in 2016. She is a practitioner registrant on the UK Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register and owns Personal Best Fitness & Nutrition. Simone is also a CIMPSA-registered personal trainer, a UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) accredited advisor, co-developer of the Certificate of Integrative Sports Nutrition, the acquisitions editor for the Functional Sports Nutrition magazine, and holds Level 1 ISAK accreditation, which qualifies her to conduct anthropometric (body composition) profiling. As an advocate for an individualised approach to nutrition, Simone focuses on nutritional strategies to optimise performance and recovery and to prevent injuries from an integrative health perspective.
