'We're excited to introduce you to Rai Kah Mercury (RKM), a four-piece alt-rock outfit hailing from the UK whose latest EP, ‘Constraints of Reality’, is set to release on June 9th. RKM's unique sound interweaves indie, psychedelic, and blues-rock with singer-songwriter inflections. Fronted by Tomás Pádraig Crean on vocals and guitar, Nathan De Giorgi on keyboard and synthesizer, Reece Aston Schaefer on bass, and Joshua Anthony Lowe on drums, RKM has been building traction with headline shows in Birmingham, London, Brighton, and Oxford since their debut single: ‘Terror Incognita’. The band recorded ‘Constraints of Reality’ in September 2021 on the remote Isle of Lewis in Scotland, capturing the spirit of coming of age as a band in an illustrative natural environment. The EP explores themes of love, loss, and questions of meaning, and fiercely deviates from the genre-specific English music scene of today. With a sound that has been described as "hard-edged, but expertly melodic" and "genre-defying," RKM is a bolt of mature electric rock with a bluesy, almost biblical sound.'
