Late & Love (NCL Dates X Marisam Events)

Late ‘n’ Love is a live music quiz singles night event. A collaboration between NCL Dates & Marisam Events, attendees will take part of in a live music quiz (with songs played by a live band!) in small teams. Attendees have the option to come with their own team of 4-6 people or can fill out some short questions to be matched with other singles, either with a mate or completely solo! It's not essential to be single to attend this event, 'taken' friends can attend with you - though we do encourage this to be a Singles Event! This event is Newcastle's (& the UK’s) only live music quiz single night and is sure to be a lot of fun! There's also prizes to be won (including food/drink vouchers and a hotel stay). And Who knows? You may also meet the one! Who are NCL Dates? NCL Dates offers single people of all ages, backgrounds and sexual orientations a fun, fresh and modern alternative to dating apps. They have been nominated for several awards at the 2023 StartUp Awards and have already welcomed thousands of people to their events. They specialise in Speed Dating events where daters get the chance to date around 20 of Newcastle’s finest singles for 5-minutes at a time and to match with their favourites. Originated by two former Newcastle University music graduates, Marisam Events has a mission to support, showcase and celebrate the inherent creativity of local musicians and creatives within the NE. Essentially, the objective of Marisam Events is to provide innovative opportunities to re-invest into the local entertainment scene. Firstly, there is a live music quiz event, where audience members test their knowledge by answering a series of music related questions asked, hosted and performed by a live band. With prizes to be won, audience members are presented with a unique opportunity to learn and listen. As they revamp the traditional pub quiz and the standard live gig, they redefining the infamous North East night out! How does the event work? Arrive from 7pm onwards, you'll be greeted at the door to sign in. If you already have a quiz team, you can head straight down to find a table. If you or you and a friend have decided to be matched with others, we'll give you a table number to head down to where you'll be joined with up to 4 other singles. (If you wish to be matched with others, please ensure you fill in the questions at the end when purchasing tickets). Just before 8pm, the music quiz will begin, hosted and performed by a live band. There will be multiple fun, quirky and interesting rounds - with plenty of prizes to be won. There'll be a couple of breaks for you to get drinks from the bar and to mingle with other singles. Enjoy music while enjoying new company! The event will go until around 11pm with attendees encouraged to stick around and chat with new and old friends alike until the venue closes. A: Yes, you're more than welcome to still come down. Q: Me and a friend both want to be sat together but also meet other singles, how do we do this? A: Both buy your tickets separately and fill in the brief few questions at the end. When you arrive, come together and we'll ensure you stay together whilst sat with other singles.
