About

Durham’s most infamous venue opens her doors to the ravaging hordes. Dance on you crazy star children. Next Thursday we will drift to things that fall apart. Klute is the home of the gospel and we gather in the communion of the mosh. Dance away reality for just one more song, and the band played on. If music could change anything, well, they’d make it illegal. But still we stand in our midnight gospel choirs, arranged under the streetlamps and stars. Something instinctive just makes your head bob, your hands clap and feet stomp. Dance dance dance you angels in exile. Sticky floors and creaking doors (this is a love song the Klute or the Apocalypse II). We are not out of style just yet. The floor shakes, the ceiling rocks and our body heat rises sacrosanct above us, a great steaming celebration of winter and being alive. A star flies over the heavens and we turn our eyes to the skies. Our hands hold the trinity. Make sure you wash them. Klute, Thursday. Be there baby.
