Title: How to protect yourself from fraud. Information session for Chinese Students with Q&A about living in Exeter and support available.
Event: Wednesday 22 March, 2-3.30pm, INTO lecture theatre
Panel: Joe and Michelle (Chinese Community Wellbeing Society, Bristol), Sue O’Hara (Transition and Integration), Tania and Beth (INTO), Emma Sweeney (INTO English Language Skills), Advice Team (Lily to advise), Suzanne (ISSO), Wellbeing rep (Joy/Vics to advise)
Fraud, in all its forms, is becoming more common and we want you to have all the information possible to protect yourselves and your friends and knowledge of the support that is available to you. The Chinese Community Wellbeing Society (CCWS) will also be telling us about ‘On Your Side’, a new national support and reporting service for East and Southeast Asian communities who experience racism and/or any forms of hate or discrimination.
As part of the session you’ll be able to ask a panel of university support representatives and the CCWS anything about life in the UK or things you are concerned about! You can do this in the group, anonymously or in your own language.
CCWS are providing refreshments at the session.
We hope that you will enjoy this session and find it useful.
