Hot Buttered Soul retuns to The Crofters back room under the giant mirror-ball for another night of disco deviance with special guest and rising star Ireland's Ricky Chong. Joining the dots will be resident revered record digger and Bristol hero Mike Shawe. Expect underground Boogie, Modern Soul , Funk, Deep Disco, Gospel, Zouk. Ricky Chong, a DJ and record collector hailing from the town of Sligo, Ireland. With a deep passion for soul, funk, disco, and sounds from around the world, Ricky has made a name for himself as one of the most talented and versatile DJs on the Irish music scene. Ricky's journey into music started at a young age, when he was introduced to vinyl records by his parents. Since then, he has amassed an impressive collection of records, carefully selecting tracks that showcase his eclectic taste and unique style. His ability to seamlessly blend genres and create an infectious atmosphere on the dance floor has won him legions of fans across the country. As a resident DJ at The Big Romance hifi bar in Dublin and with Sligo's Faint Collective, Ricky has earned a reputation for delivering unforgettable performances. He has also graced the stages of some of Ireland's most renowned festivals and clubs, including Electric Picnic, Life Festival, Jika Jika, Fuinneamh, and Otherside Festival, sharing the bill with the likes of Special Request, Kettama, TSHA, Honey Dijon and many more.
