GRAHAM RUSSELL SEXTET

Graham Russell Sextet is a newly formed six piece jazz unit comprising of trumpet, sax, trombone, piano, bass and drums. We play jazz standards arranged for this line up. We play in all genres...eg. Swing, Latin, Rock and Funk. We like to feature each musician . Quite a few of our arrangements come from LA in the States eg. Frank Mantooth and Bobby Shew etc. We hope to create a relaxed “club” atmosphere with a high standard of playing from all the musicians who are all professional. The line up is... Graham Russell trumpet and flugel; Played with Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Paul McCartney, original Elvis TCB band. Simon Bates alto and tenor sax; Well known jazz artiste.....played at Ronnie Scott's, 606, many tv appearances...... Mark Nightingale trombone; International jazz soloist, composer and band leader... Chris Neill piano; Plays with Vince Dunn orchestra. Roy Chilton bass; Played on the radio recording of 'The Lord of The Rings' and played regularly in The Royal Philharmonic, London Chamber Orchestra, BBC Radio Orchestra, English Baroque Orchestra and the Philamusica of London which included a tour with the clarinetist Benny Goodman. Dae Hun Lee drums; Dae Lee is a drummer, percussionist and educator. He has worked with musicians and entertainers such as George Fenton, Melody Thornton (Pussycat Dolls) and The Definitive Rat Pack.
