Join us for an exciting event during Welcome Week, perfect for new students to explore the beautiful local area and make new friends. We will be embarking on a scenic walk from Exeter Quay to Double Locks, providing you with the perfect opportunity to familiarize yourself with the surroundings and discover easily accessible places. During this leisurely walk, you can enjoy the picturesque views and engage in conversations with fellow students, making new connections and building friendships that will last throughout your university journey. As we stroll towards Double Locks, you'll have the chance to learn more about the history and significance of Exeter Quay, as well as the vibrant community that thrives in this area. Upon reaching Double Locks, we will take a well-deserved break and give you time to relax and socialize. This charming pub sits on the canal and offers a delightful setting for us to unwind and enjoy refreshing beverages. After enjoying our time at Double Locks, we'll make our way back to Exeter Quay, giving you the opportunity to chat with even more fellow students and soak in the surroundings once again. It's a chance to reflect on the walk, exchange stories, and continue building connections as you start your university journey. There is wheelchair access, an accessible toilet, general car parking, and blue badge parking. Breaks can be taken as often as needed, there is also a new accessible train station nearby to get back to Exeter St. David's if walking back is not possible.
