To kick off our term 3 timetable we start with an MUN classic: Women's Rights Debate.
Tuesday 16th May - 6.30pm-9pm - Matrix Lecture Theatre, The Business School
International discrimination against women takes many forms, ranging from reproductive restrictions, lack of access to education, and the gender pay gap, to violence against women, FGM, and honour-based crimes. With UN Women's creation in 2010, significant steps have been taken to tackle such issues, yet there is much more to be done.
ExMUN is ready to address the complexity and diversity of this topic, and unite to propose solutions to protect women and girls across the world.
As this is such a contentious debate, with approaches differing from nation to nation, we highly recommended that you research the significant talking points of the debate, as well as engage with our study guide [soon to be released].
As always an appointed welfare lead will be present, and we are happy to answer any questions, before, during, and after the event!
See you there!
