And for once – but by no means the only time – we will be crossing the border into England. The Lake District is made up of 16 lakes and we will be able to view two of the bigger ones on our hike up the storied Catbells mountain. From there we head to the market town of Keswick for a visit to Derwentwater where you will be able to feed the beautiful swans as well as rent a canoe (from £30 per 4 people, subject to availability).
