The Recruitment and Positive Action Team are delighted to invite you to an engagement event for Dorset Police about the Selection stage of the recruitment process. This event will talk through: • Online Assessment Centre • Force Interview • Training • A day in the life of a Police Officer Times Dorset Police: 1830 - 1930 hrs Whilst this information is all available on the force website we are commitment to delivering this information in alternative ways to support different learning styles and for those who have not yet decided they want to apply. If you are interested in attending you will only need to attend one event as each event will provide the same information. FAQs How do I access the event? Once you have registered you will be sent multiple links to Microsoft teams events, please click on the one you have booked onto. You will be able to join the event from no more than 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. You shouldn’t need to download any software just click on the link within the email. There will be a contact email address for you to use should you experience any difficulties. How long will the event last? It is likely to last approx. 30mins only with some time afterwards for questions What is the dress code? We would suggest casual as we would like you to be as comfortable as possible. I am unable to attend this event does this mean I cannot apply? This event is not mandatory and all the information is already available on the force website. This event has been arranged to support those who may be uncertain about starting the recruitment process for any reason. I booked a space but I now can’t attend? Spaces are limited; therefore if you reserve a space and cannot attend, please cancel your attendance so someone else can attend. Instruction on how to do this will be contained within your confirmation invitation. The event is full? Spaces on each event are limited to support network issues. Please ensure you place yourself on the waiting list as from experience spaces do become available. If the demand does outstrip availability we will look to arrange some further dates during the campaign window. I want to know the process after I submit an application? Following the closing of the selection process, the recruitment team will hold further engagement events for those who have successfully completed the selection stage. These events will be focused on the pre-requisites, the University of South Wales, etc if successfully appointed.
