These walks will take us to the beautiful landscapes of the Mendip Hills surrounding Cheddar Gorge, each with stunning views stretching down the gorge and ending in the village of Cheddar. Lengths and ratings: Walk A: distance-8 miles (moderate), terrain-moderate (a couple of climbs involved) Walk B : distance-6.5 miles (mild), terrain-spicy (two very steep climbs to get up the gorge) Coach pick up times: Exeter St Davids 9am, Lafrowda Cottage 9:05, VUE cinema Bus Stop 39 We aim to return to Exeter by 18:30. Before the walk: Make sure to bring a packed lunch and at least 2 bottles of water, we are unable to stop en-route for food or other supplies. Remember to wear strong, sturdy hiking boots or shoes. A waterproof layer and sunscreen is also recommended, as well as an extra sweater or hat for warmth.
