Pozzitive Television (a production company who make comedy shows for the BBC), are coming to the University of Exeter to record an episode of ‘The 3rd Degree’, a quiz show that airs on BBC Radio 4, which pits a team of Exeter students against their professors in a battle of the wits. They have invited us to attend the recording!
It should be quite an entertaining evening, with students competing against their tutors on topics ranging from Barthes to Beyoncé, and will be a good chance to see a BBC comedy quiz show recording on location.
An informal Q&A about professional comedy will also be held after with the show's producer and presenter - David Tyler (Victoria Wood’s “dinnerladies”, Cabin Pressure, Milton Jones, John Finnemore's Double Acts, and Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive) and Steve Punt (The Now Show, Horrible Histories).
