Apex HiFi Empress Sessions: Sista Lexxy & more

We're very excited to present the first of many Apex Empress Sessions, to celebrate all things Omega and in livication to the lifelong works of Empress Menen ❤️🙏🏽 Our mission is to bring together various women in reggae to play jah music together, creating a space to celebrate and send love to all of humanity through our beautiful soundsystem. Word, sound, power.... 🔊⚡️ Very excited to have the following special guests alongside Apex HiFi's own Trishna I; Sistren Shirley selecting plus vocalists Sista Lexy and up and coming local artist Jayahadadream ❤️💛💚 Sistren Shirley comes with a big selection and even bigger vibes... She plays a range of reggae styles, from early classics through to tuff dubwise selections, roots rockers and 90s steppas, evidence of a deep love and appreciation of the music and a lifetime of collecting, selecting and dancing. She's a regular selector at some of the best reggae events in London and is one of the resident selectors on Real Roots Radio ❤️ Sista Lexxy is a true vocal force! She's brought to us songs like "Learning Rastafari" and has worked with some of the biggest producers and artists in the industry to bring forth her message and spread Rastafari teachings, a true veteran. We can't wait for Lexxy to bless up the mic... 💛 JayaHadADream is an up and coming singer/MC with a versatile flow and raw message, a militant youth and rising star. Based between Cambridge and Nottingham, working with artists all over the UK, she brings storytelling lyrics and conscious rhymes. Her family are regulars at our sessions, it's truly an honour to see the next generation rise up and forward 💚 Trishna I will be playing her usual fire selection of militant roots with melodic vocals, heavy on the omega selection, digging deep in her vinyl collection to bring musical meditation to the masses. Trishna has been selecting since she joined Apex (formerly Cambridge Revelation) and will be representing for all of the Apex Empresses, present and past 🔊 All powered by Apex HiFi soundsystem... big, beautiful and heavy ⚡️⚡️⚡️
