An Interview with Jamie Driscoll

Join us for the inaugural Pembroke Politics event of the academic year, as we interview Jamie Driscoll, former Labour mayor of the North of Tyne. Born and bred in the North East of England, Jamie was the first elected mayor of the North of Tyne mayoral authority. However, he was controversially deselected by the party in 2023, and subsequently lost to Labour's new candidate in this year's North East mayoral elections. Prior to entering politics, he was the manager of a locally based software development firm. This interview will be conducted online over Zoom. Wine and cheese will be provided for attendees.
