What does the future look like for BROWNGIRLS? Join this FREE panel discussion with Pragna Patel and Aditi Mayer to find out more about the legacy of South Asian women and how new generations are moving the needle forward on what ‘Brown Feminism’ looks like. - Pragna Patel is a founding member and director of Southall Black Sisters (SBS) – a multi - award winning feminist advocacy and campaigning centre. Established in 1979 to meet the needs of black and minority women, the bulk of SBS’ work is directed at assisting women and children obtain effective protection and assert their fundamental human right in the face of gender-based violence and related problems. - Aditi Mayer is a sustainability educator, photojournalist, labor rights activist, and frequent speaker on topics of social and environmental justice. In 2022, she will be a National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellow, spending one year documenting the social and environmental impacts of India’s fashion supply chain. This event is held in partnership with An Indian Summer Festival.
