Rhodri Talfan Davies: Director BBC Wales **Drinks Reception**

***Please note this event is being held at a different time and location to our regular events - 6pm, Danson Room, Trinity College*** OUMS is pleased to be hosting Rhodri Talfan Davies (Director of BBC Cymru Wales) followed by a drinks reception, to conclude a very successful inaugural term-card. Rhodri Talfan Davies is the current Director of BBC Cymru Wales, having taken up the position in September 2011. Joining the BBC in 1993, Rhodri worked as a news reporter and producer until 1999 when he was appointed head of regional programmes for BBC West in Bristol. He left the BBC in 2001 to work for Homechoice (later TalkTalk TV) before returning back in 2006. His father also was controller of BBC Wales in the 1990s. Rhodri will offer an insight to the issues faced by regional broadcasters, from his wealth of experience in this field.
