Freshers' Wednesday: Doodle Bar

Half an hour or a very nice walk along the Thames from Somerset House is Doodle Bar. Students inclined towards contemporary art might alternatively like to come to this event via the Saatchi Gallery. Known for being a venue where guests can express their creativity by drawing on the walls, Freshers coming to the Doodle Bar will also have access to activities like foosball and table tennis. Please note that this event is the same day as our Freshers' Fair, which will run from 11-4 in the Student Cafe, and will give you the opportunity to sign up to some of our fantastic student-run societies. For this reason the Doodle Bar event will give many of you the opportunity to discuss your hopes for these societies for the coming year with like-minded people who share your passions. Wednesday being a couple of days into the week, we also thought it would be a good idea to make sure you all get a decent meal. For that reason tickets to this event include a burger (beef or vegetarian), 3 drinks tokens and a portion of chips to be shared with another attendee. Please could any vegans attending contact the SU directly at [email protected] about catering for this event. Tickets are £17.50 or included at a reduced rate in a Golden Ticket. As with all nights of Freshers' Week this event is run at a loss and all money goes back into societies and events run by the SU throughout the year.
