Are we going green enough? A panel event with the university on their climate commitments.
Join us for a panel discussion on our University's Environment and Climate Emergency Plan. We will be asking ‘are we sticking to our targets?’ ‘do the universities plans go far enough?’ ‘what more can we do to be true leaders in the climate emergency?’ and much more!
The panel will be chaired by Lily Margaroli (Guild President), and sitting on the panel will be:
- Janice Kay, Provost and Joint Chair of the Environment and Climate Emergency Board
- Peter Cox, Professor of Climate System Dynamics and Climate Advocate
- Andy Seaman, Energy Manager and Acting Head of Environment & Climate Emergency Team
- Two of our students (names TBC)
The aim of our discussion will be to ensure that as an institution we are truly living to our values and commitments to the climate emergency. To truly fight the climate crisis we need everyone to come together, and the work must start at home, at our own university! You will learn about what the university is already doing, as well as challenging them to do more if you think they need to. After we have covered the main topics of discussion there will be a chance for you to get your own questions answered too.
We want to make sure the panel discussion covers the topics you care about – submit questions here, we will aim to cover as many topics as possible in the main body of the discussion and the Q&A time.
Join us online too!
